Tempo Sabatier
registered massage therapist
It is a privilege to support your adventures and subsequent recovery: whether that's chasing a toddler around, bike-packing, an intense weekend of dance rehearsals, adapting through pregnancy, training for a marathon, or many hours spent immobilized with a favourite video game.I believe there is immense value in approaching massage both in a targeted, specific way, and in helping you slow down to a restorative state of rest. My goals are to find a balance of these intentions that meets you where you're at that day, while offering self-care strategies when and as it interests you.

About
Prior to becoming a massage therapist, I explored a variety of active and people-centered roles—working in a rock climbing gym, teaching swimming lessons and running summer camps, supporting families as a caregiver, and work exchanges abroad. These experiences shaped my belief that there is some form of movement, for everyone, that can be a source of joy and empowerment. My approach to massage therapy is strengths-focused and rooted in the understanding that people, and their bodies, are remarkably clever and capable at adaptation, growth, and healing. Based on your preferences, we will collaborate on a treatment founded on 'Swedish massage,' that uses active and/or passive techniques, fascial and trigger point therapy, stretching, and the use of heat, such as warm tools.Do you think we might work well together? You can find me at Paper Crane Massage Therapy in the Cedar Cottage neighbourhood.
